H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Hamed Al Rumhi

Chairman - Minister of Oil & Gas

With a background in petroleum engineering, H.E. Dr. Al Rumhi has been with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) in the 1980s before joining the College of Engineering at Sultan Qaboos University, where he held a number of academic positions until 1997. H.E. Dr. Al Rumhi is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petroleum Development Oman, Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, National Training Fund and Oman LNG.
H.E. Dr. Al Rumhi holds a Ph.D from Imperial College, London, a MS from Tulsa University, Oklahoma, USA and a BSc from Imperial College, London.

H.E. Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi

Deputy Chairman - Deputy Chairman of the Board of Governors of Central Bank of Oman

He has also been the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Planning. H.E. Al Habsi started his career in 1988 in the Ministry of Finance, first as an Assistant Tax Inspector, and later as Director General of Tax Survey and Administration. In 2004, he was appointed Chief Executive of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates, and four years later, H.E. Al Habsi returned to the Ministry of Finance as Undersecretary. H.E. Al Habsi is a member of the Financial Affairs and Energy Resources Council of the Sultanate of Oman. He is also the Deputy Chairman of the Special Economic Zone Authority – Duqm, Oman Logistic Group –Asyad, SGRF and Oman Investment Fund. H.E Al Habsi holds a degree in Accounting from Ain Shams University, Cairo.

H.E. Nasser bin Khamis Al Jashmi

Member - Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance

H.E. Al Jashmi has been the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil & Gas from 2003 to 2013. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Suhar International Development Company and a member of boards and committees of several institutions and companies, including Petroleum Development Oman, State General Reserve Fund, Oman Investment Fund, Civil Service Employees Pension Fund, National Center for Statistics & Information and Rafd Fund. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Omani Authority of Partnership for Development.
H.E. Al Jashmi holds a master’s degree in Applied Economics from American University in Washington, D.C

Salaam bin Said Al Shaksy

Member - Chief Executive Officer of Alizz Islamic Bank

He has been the CEO of major banks such as National Bank of Oman, Dubai Islamic Investment Group, Dubai Banking Group and Dubai Bank. He has also been with Citibank Global Consumer Business in Dubai. Hon. Al Shaksy is the Chairman of Oman’s Investment Stabilization Fund, a member of the Board of Directors of Al Raf’d Fund (Oman’s SME fund) and serves on the Advisory Council of the College of Economics & Political Science at the Sultan Qaboos University.
Hon. Al Shaksy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics (cum laude), a Masters in Management Information Systems (Honors) and a MBA in Management of Financial Services (High Honors) from Boston University, USA. He has also completed the Senior Executive Programme at the London Business School, UK.

Dr. Abdullah Al Lamki

Member - 45 years of career experience, 38 of which were spent in the oil and gas industry

He joined Petroleum Development of Oman (PDO) in 1973 and was seconded to Shell in The Hague. Dr. Lamki went on to hold senior positions at PDO and Shell, including Head of Well Engineering, Shell Nigeria, Chief Production Technologist and Deputy Petroleum Engineering Manager at PDO, Petroleum Engineering Manager at Norske Shell, Norway and Petroleum Engineering Manager and Technical Director at PDO. Dr. Lamki was appointed Deputy Managing Director and Technical Director of PDO in 1998, a position he held until his retirement in 2012.
Dr. Lamki holds a Ph.D in Physics from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland.
