Social investment is an integral expression of OQ’s role as the investment arm of Oman’s energy sector. We adopt a structured approach that aligns with the national development agenda and the priorities of Oman Vision 2040, with a clear focus on advancing human capital and embedding sustainability to deliver long-term value for the national economy.

Our social investment strategy is guided by defined priorities that strengthen in-country value and support community development. Over the past year, this approach has been reflected in our support of 256 initiatives across education, the environment, youth and economic prosperity, reaching more than 23,600 beneficiaries across the Sultanate’s governorates. These outcomes are enabled through collaborative partnerships with government entities, academic institutions and civil society organisations.

People remain at the centre of this commitment and its purpose. Our employees have embodied a strong culture of shared responsibility, contributing 21,000 volunteering hours across diverse community initiatives. This report captures the outcomes of these efforts in 2025, highlighting performance indicators and the distribution of social investments, reflecting a disciplined institutional approach that reinforces the role of social investment within OQ’s broader value creation framework.
